Distinguished Lady’s and Gentlemen,

It is with honor and gratitude that I accept
my election as President of ORAUSA. Since the incorporation of ORAUSA in the State of Georgia, in the year 2001, it has grown to a leading Charity organization in the diaspor, and it remains strong.

ORAUSA’s cultural, educational, economic, and social upliftment efforts of people in our community is unrivaled. By all estimation, ORAUSA is a beacon of hope to many na ala Orlu, especially in the area of medical care.

My journey to this moment started 50 years ago. As a US-born child to my dear mother Lady Scholastica Unegbu and my late father Prof. Romanus Unegbu, I must say that I have been groomed to be humbled by and to handle what the future holds for me. This journey has taken me through leadership positions in Orlu Peoples Association (OPA), Orlu Regional Assembly (ORADC), and now to the presidency of ORAUSA. I stand on the belief that and I do declare that our youths today are our future; they are leaders of tomorrow. I hail from ORADC and am a humble member. My President Sir Chikata Christopher Uzukwu and the entire members of ORADC members are behind me and I will not disappoint them.

ORAUSA is a parochial association of Orlu people in the USA, and it relates with Orlu people in all fifty states of the USA. As the VP of this great union, I was tasked with growing ORAUSA’s affiliate strength. With the great team that I worked with, ORAUSA added two new affiliates. I couldn’t have accomplished this without the support of our amiable and now Emeritus President, Chief Tony Ebubedike Okpara. My Co-Chair, Prince Charles Duru, worked diligently with me and remained humble during our work on this. I believe the team worked well together because we share a common vision. Today, you have elected Prince Duru to work with me as ORAUSA VP.

With affiliate membership expansions across the 50 states of America, sharing a common vision of development and sustained growth of the Orlu Senatorial zone, we the ORAUSA executive body vow to uphold this vision and ensure that all programs and projects of ORAUSA are faithfully worked on and accomplished.

Lastly, my wife, Lolo Titi Unegbu has been with me through Thick and Thin, she’s with me on this one too. She is ready to embark on this journey with me. We will not disappoint you and be rest assured that with God ORAUSA will be greater than where it is today.
